OXYGEN PROVIDER ONLY OR COMBINED WITH NITROUS OXIDE PROVIDER
Designed for work places where medical gases are available for use by First Aiders. It provides delegates the understanding of how and when to use oxygen safely and where available products such as Entonox. Delegates must have a First Aid at Work Certificate to attend or equally approved
Course Duration: 4 to 8 Hours duration dependant on prior knowledge and course content. I.E Oxygen only or all medical gases

- Review of Basic Life Support Skills
- Introduction to Medical Gases
- Oxygen Equipment
- Oxygen cylinders
- Oxygen Safety Procedures and contraindications
- Oxygen therapy
- Oxygen during resuscitation
- Use of Pule Oximeter
- Practical use of Oxygen. With practice scenarios
- Review of pain relief
- Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide combined 50:50 equipment and cylinders
- Use of Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide combined 50:50
- Safety procedures for us of oxygen and nitrous oxide combined 50:50
- Contraindications for us of oxygen and nitrous oxide combined 50:50



Assessment
This course has continual assessment followed by a final multi choice exam and scenario assessment
Certification
On successful completion of the course delegates will receive certification valid for 1 year
THIS COURSE CAN BE RUN IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER RELATED COURSES
