A nationally recognised certification approved by our awarding and accrediting bodies to meet the HSE requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 for the re-qualification of workplace First Aiders, who hold a current FAW certificate

- Aims and objectives of First Aid
- Action at an emergency
- Management of the unconscious casualty
- Management of a non-breathing casualty
- Management of a choking casualty
- Treatment of a casualty who is bleeding
- Treatment of a casualty with Fractures
- Treatment of a casualty with Burns
- Treatment for poisoning
- Treatment for eye injuries
- Treatment for a range of major & minor illnesses
- Contents of First Aid Kits
- Recording Accidents & Legal aspects of first aid at work
- Use of AED



Pre-course requirements
IMPORTANT
FOR DELEGATES TO ATTEND THIS TRAINING THEY MUST HAVE AN IN DATE VALID FULL FIRST AID AT WORK CERTIFICATE
(If your certificate has expired we are allowed to accept bookings provided it is out of date by no more than 1 month)
Assessment
This course has continual assessment followed by a final multi choice exam.
Certification
On completion of the course delegates will receive a nationally recognised certificate valid for 3 years
