A. E. D. Automated External Defibrillator Course

Course Detail

Designed for all kinds of personnel, first aiders, life guards, medical staff such as dental nurses, doctor’s receptionists, care assistants, who need the knowledge and experience of using this life saving equipment which is now becoming more commonplace

Course Duration: 3 to 4 Hours duration dependant on prior knowledge

 


Course Content

  • Review of Basic Life Support Skills
  • Heart Conditions
  • Recognising Cardiac Arrest
  • Familiarisation of the A.E.D.
  • How & when to use the A.E.D.
  • Practical use of the A.E.D. With practice scenarios


THE COURSE CONTENT AND STRUCTURE IS BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND GUIDANCE OF THE RESUSCITATION COUNCIL

Assessment

This course has continual assessment followed by a final multi choice exam and scenario assessment

Certification

On successful completion of the course delegates will receive certification valid for 1year

Location

We now run all our East Lancashire courses from the new Burnley Dedicated Training venue which provides free parking and easy motorway access. We also have venues available in Bolton and Chorley.
