Emergency First Aid
Emergency First Aid courses are available to differing standards and some replace the original appointed person in the work place. For employers who identify a need for first aid training then they should look at the full first aid at work course or the emergency first aid at work course. It is still possible to offer a non-statutory 4 hour emergency first aid course as an appointed person but this would not carry HSE certification.
ABC Also offer emergency first aid in the form of Basic Life Support (BLS) training and this course is usually aimed at health care professionals such as doctors and nurses who require annual updates in these vital emergency first aid skills.
All the emergency first aid courses cover the management of unconscious casualties both breathing and non-breathing and equip delegates with the most up-to-date techniques advised by the Resuscitation Council. ABC run open emergency first aid courses in Burnley and Bolton or can offer emergency first aid training direct on clients site.
Another popular course is Emergency First Aid for parents, again a non-statutory course run over 4 to 6 hours dependent on client needs and time constraints but is ideally suited to parents who want to feel confident in handling an emergency and providing basic emergency first aid.
